We offer free consultation to discuss the points mentioned above. This consultation will help you and the photographer provide answers to your questions; this session will help determine wardrobe, make-up, hairstyle, and mood of the photographs. We recommend that the consultation take place at least a week prior to the shoot.

» Setting
The setting for the portrait is very important. Our studio can fit up to ten or more people, or you can select a location that expresses the tastes and interests of your family. We are also within close proximity of several parks (Shawnee Mission Park, Antioch Park, Old Lenexa, Westport, The Plaza). Also note that we are open to other locations like your home or your favorite location.
» Clothing Color & Style
The goal of any fine portrait is to direct the viewer's attention to the face or faces in the portrait. The clothing you choose is very important to the success of your portrait.
Families need to take special care in selecting the proper clothing. Choose simple garments within the same tonal ranges. Light and dark tones together create visual confusion and attract unwanted attention to the clothing itself.
Dress the family in medium shades when planning for outdoor portraits. Clothing that blends harmoniously creates timeless portraiture because the viewer's eye goes directly to the faces.
